Are there any science fair projects involving the paranormal?

Nothing else interests me. and I don’t want to spend three months on something I don’t like. Help?

Not really, since the big problem with the paranormal is that it never shows up when you want it to, in contrast with the rest of science where phenomena are, at least to some degree, predictable and understandable. In fact, if something is paranormal then it is beyond the realm of science and probably isn’t a great idea for a science fair.

If you really want to stick with the paranormal, you could try debunking some popular reasons why people see ghosts or believe in things like auras or psychics. You might want to do a demonstration of air pressure (e.g., on closing doors), do a demonstration of optical illusions (associated with seeing auras), or something like that. Kandiboots had some great suggestions along those lines. In fact, a great example is given in the link below where a student debunked the idea of “therapeutic touch” in her science fair project.

Can someone give me one good, legitimate reason not to use a Ouija board.?

I just got done watching Paranormal Activity as I’m sure many people have, and even though the movie was really fun and thrilling to watch, I’m still not convinced with the whole Ouija board nonsense. Many many people just say to stay away from them, but I would like to hear some honest proof that something paranormal happened while using the board, maybe some links to some true real life experiences. I’m very cynical with some things, and I’m not going to believe the truth about these “spiritual door openers” until I open that door for myself, BUT I might be deterred if someone can show me some actual facts, I just want to know the truth.
